Winter Giving

The humanitarian crisis in Syria is dire and overwhelming. 40% of the Syrian population now is in immediate need of lifesaving care: food, clean water, shelter, or medical assistance. You may wonder what one person can do help in the face of such tragedy. The Syrian diaspora has come together in many ways, small and large, to provide relief to their compatriots. We hope you will join us by giving to one of these campaigns this winter.

Karam Foundation

Join our campaign for humanitarian and medical relief in Syria. Over the last two years, we have been delivering aid to the most desperate areas in Syria. 100% of your donation will support humanitarian relief projects inside Syria, such as supplying families with basic necessities, stocking field hospitals with medical supplies & supporting Syrian refugees.

Syrian American Medical Society

The Syrian American Medical Society has many ongoing campaigns to save Syrian lives, including sponsorship of doctors and clinics, polio vaccination, dental care and trauma counseling. Donate here.

Syrian Expatriates Organization

This project is directed to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people, by providing basic needs to cope with the cold environmental conditions of winter. SEO works with local city councils, aid groups, and activist networks on the ground inside Syria to identify and provide for the families most desperately in need. Many areas served are subject to ongoing regime siege and assault, making them near-impossible to access for international humanitarian organizations. Donate here.

Syria Relief and Development (SRD)

Here is what we are up to these final weeks of the year to help Syria.
*  Syria Relief and Development has launched a campaign to provide care packages to families inside Syria before the colder winter weather hits. The care packages will be filled with winter items such as warm clothing and blankets but will also contain food items to help tackle the spread of hunger and malnutrition inside Syria.
The cost to sponsor a donation package for one family is $200. But any amount can help tremendously! Visit us here to learn more.
*  On December 12-13, Syria Relief and Development will be hosting an international collaboration summit on Syria's future. 'Syria 2025' will bring together leaders and development experts to help create and foster growth for Syria's future. The summit will be held at the United States Institute for Peace (USIP) in Washington, D.C.
